MAGES
Mages (魔法使い Madoushi), also known as Wizards, are those who wield Magic of any kind. Mages comprise only 10% of the living population. Their Magic power is like their source of life. Mages are usually affiliated with a Guild, where they can take Jobs as a source of personal income and adventure. Many Mages are famed individuals who citizens look up to due to their strength and persona. There are two types of Mages in the world of Fairy Tail, Legal Mages and Dark Mages.
They are comprised of Ranks, for simple and safe separation for their missions to keep them alive. From The strongest S Rank to the weakest E Rank.
E-Rank
The bottom step of the ladder of a Mage, these wizards are just beginning their road so they aren't as powerful. However they do have great potential, and after awhile of training and work they get stronger. Along with the know how to use their own abilities and hopefully keep it from going out of control.
D-Rank
A master of the basics, the next step up in the Ladder of Magic Users. They know more about their specific type of magic and how quirky it is to them. Since all magic has its own unique flourish per wielder. Now they are able to deal with better jobs, sure a bit more risky but have a bit more pay.
C-Rank
The Most Common Level of a Mage, especially if one has had their powers for around a year. Most guilds are actually comprised of 50% of this type of rank, nothing too special just the next step. However they are better at their Magic, and have higher risk jobs with more rewards then D Rank
B-Rank
Above Average, Talented, Experienced, these words are but a few that explain the B Rank Mages. Their magic has come to them almost naturally, with skill and experience to control them them more then the others. Though they still have a long way to go up the ladder of power.
A-Rank
If B Rank are above average, then these ranks would be almost genius' or top of the Ladder really. Powerful and skillful, these Mages can do things far more easily then the lower Ranks. However jobs for them have even the risk of death, so they always need to keep on their toes.
S-Rank
Prodigy, Gods and Goddesses, however one might call them they have launched far higher then the top of the ladder of Mages. Almost in their own league apart even from A Rank. The most Destructive and powerful of them all, their strengths and weaknesses now solely depend on the magic's own. There is not many Mages of this caliber, especially at younger ages, that live very long because the Jobs are life and death at a moments notice.
